NAPABA Regional Conference

NAPABA’s 2011 Western Regional Conference will be from June 3-5 in Portland, Oregon. The conference kicks off with a judges’ reception on Friday night. A diverse set of CLE topics will be offered on Saturday, and the keynote dinner speech will be given by Carol Lam, former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California and currently Deputy General Counsel at QUALCOMM. Immigration Clinic April 30, 2011

April 30, 2011 – Immigration Clinic – Asian Resources, Inc. and NAPABA  (along with support from ABAS) are looking for volunteer attorneys and law students to help at a naturalization workshop in Sacramento. Volunteers will help review naturalization applications, screen applicants for eligibility and field legal questions on immigration matters. The event will be held at the George Sim Community Center (6207 Logan Street, Sacramento, CA 95824), from 9am to 2pm. Volunteers will be expected to attend a 1-hour training on the naturalization process. [Experienced attorneys may be exempted from the training.]  Trainings will be held at Asian Resources, Inc. Functional proficiency in any Asian language, particularly Chinese and Vietnamese, are greatly appreciated.
