Henry
was President of the ABAS during 1994 to 1996 and has
been active in ABAS for most of his legal career. He
has also been President of the Asian/Pacific Bar of
California; a founding co-Legal Counsel of CAPITAL;
Chairperson of the Cal. State Bar, Public Law Section,
Executive Committee; a Board Member of the Cal. State
University, Sacramento Foundation; a Member of the American
Inns of Court, Anthony M. Kennedy Inn; a Member of the
Cal. State University, Sacramento’s President’s
Advisory Council on Human Relations, a Legal Steering
Committee member of the Airports Council International-North
America; and is currently a Vice-President of the Pacific
Alumni Association Board and the Secretary of the ABAS
Law Foundation.
For work, Henry spent over 10 years in
private practice specializing in products liability
litigation, and representation of automotive dealerships
in transactional, litigation and real estate matters.
He then joined the Sacramento County Counsel’s
Office where he has acted as the General Counsel for
the County’s four airports for over 7 years. After
another brief stint in Private Practice as an Of Counsel,
with Meyers, Nave, Riback, Silver and Wilson in the
Airport Practice Group, he recently joined the State
of California’s Department of General Services
as a Staff Counsel where he advises the department in
municipal finance matters, CEQA issues and in general
real estate matters.
He continues to find time to be
active in his church, and assist his 16 and 13 year
old boys, and 10 year old daughter in scouting activities.
